I’m currently on business in Romania. The hotel is better than I imagined it would be and for the most part the food has been reasonable albeit rather Germanic and fatty; the sandwich in the office yesterday appeared to be deep fried reconstituted fat & grisstle but dinner last night was a lovely veal stew washed down with plenty of wine and the local spirit. It’s -10 degrees here which I assure you is very cold. The local people here in Sibiu have been very hospitable and I’m looking forward already to my next visit early in the new year.
