In a cracking display of professionalism the pilot makes a mayday call 11 seconds after the birdstrike complete with his intentions and doesn’t hesitate or get a word wrong. The controller gives an instant response and its all done with a detached professionalism that makes one proud of the expertise that British pilot training instills.
