As I noted in an earlier post I went into Liverpool on Tuesday evening to take a look at the QM2 which was in for the day. I wandered up and down and took a few pictures and then get myself onto one of the Mersey ferries which took us up and down the Mersey to let us view the Liner from various viewpoints. One comment on the City of Liverpool; I went a few weeks ago for the first time ever and was very impressed with the city and Tuesdays visit was no different. The view of the city behind QM2 was lovely. I’d has this mental picture of a place where young chavy types would try and part me from my wallet at each turn but I never felt like that at all whilst I was there. If you’ve never visited it it’s worth going.
The Queen Mary 2 is a stunning vessel. At 151,000 tonnes she’s the largest ocean liner ever built, built at a cost of £1 Billion dollars!
